All prices below are invented examples in AUD, not current supplier offers. The arithmetic also works for USD when every entered amount uses USD. Always match the material specification before comparing costs.
A larger vial can cost less per mg and more overall
A 10 mg vial at A$60 costs A$6 per nominal mg. A 20 mg vial at A$100 costs A$5 per nominal mg. The second option is A$1 less per mg but requires A$40 more upfront. A lower unit price is not automatically a lower total spend.
A kit price needs the kit’s whole mass
A pack containing five 10 mg vials has a nominal total of 50 mg. If the whole pack costs A$200, its nominal unit price is A$200 ÷ 50 = A$4 per mg, and its listed per-vial price is A$40. Dividing A$200 by 10 would incorrectly treat the whole kit price as the price of a single vial.
If a listing does not clearly state the vial count, mass per vial and matching pack price, do not invent a unit price from a “from” price or an ambiguous range. The calculator accepts a uniform pack; mixed-mass kits need their total nominal quantities checked separately.
Shipping can reverse the listed-price winner
Suppose two matching 10 mg vials are listed at A$50 and A$55. The first has A$20 shipping; the second has A$5 shipping. Their delivered totals are A$70 and A$60, or A$7 and A$6 per nominal mg. The second listing costs more before shipping but less delivered in this example.
Use the same destination and quantity. Allocate shared shipping consistently across a larger basket, and do not add charges again if already included. Enter known additional checkout taxes or fees; do not assume a tax rate from a supplier’s domain.
Mass is still a label, not a test result
Nominal mass is what the supplier states. It does not establish measured net peptide content, equivalent salts, purity, sequence, sterility or batch identity. A 20 mg blend can contain different component ratios from another 20 mg blend. Price arithmetic cannot resolve those differences.
